Itinerary

Eco Education Adventures

Season June to September – Summer

The itinerary can be changed to suit your group's needs. Just let us know what you'd like to do.

  • Day 1 – arrival to Cancun

Arrive at the International Airport (CUN), transfer to your hotel, and be welcomed to Cancun by your guide for this tour. They will give you information about the area and the week's activities.

  • Day 2 – whale shark tour

Breakfast at the marina. Take a boat to see the highest concentration of whale sharks in Mexico. Snorkel with these amazing creatures. If time allows, the boat will stop by the reefs for snorkeling and lunch.

  • Day 3 – los Picos

Take a boat to the beautiful Los Picos diving area 50 miles off the coast. Once briefed on the ecology by our professional guides, go diving with a better than average chance of seeing hammerheads, jewfish and other large marine animals.

  • Day 4 – Cozumel

In the morning take a boat to the island of Cozumel, opposite Playa Del Carmen. Cozumel is a diver's paradise with large coral vistas and lots of marine life. Once again be briefed on the ecology by our professional guides and go diving with a better than average chance of seeing hammerheads, jewfish and other large marine animals.

  • Day 5 - whale shark tour

You have another chance to see the whale sharks. The number of sightings per day varies, so you can again snorkel with these little giants.

  • Day 6 – cenotes

Dive in the cenotes, a unique phenomenon of the Yucatan Peninsula. This is freshwater diving and much different than the ocean. The certified guide will tell you about the underground rivers and cenotes.

  • Day 7 – on the last day you will be taken to the airport for your flight home.

  • Season January to March – winter

The itinerary can be changed to suit your group's needs. Just let us know what you'd like to do.

  • Day 1 – arrival to Cancun

Arrive at the International Airport (CUN), transfer to your hotel, and be welcomed to Cancun by your guide for this tour. They will give you information about the area and the week's activities.

  • Day 2 – sailfish expedition

Here is your chance to snorkel or dive with the fastest marine predator in the world - top speed of up to 68 miles per hour!
Your guide will give an introduction to sailfish and the ecology of the dive site. North of Isla Mujeres you can snorkel or scuba dive (we recommend snorkeling) with the sailfish. You will be amazed at the speed these predators reach to chase schools of fish during feeding.

  • Day 3 – bull shark dive

Dive with the bull sharks off Playa del Carmen. They are harmless and can be recognized by the heavy body and broad snout. You may see some lying motionless on the ocean floor.

  • Day 4 - sailfish expedition

You have another chance to see the sailfish. The number of sightings per day varies, so you can again snorkel or dive with these speedy predators. They can almost instantaneously change their body color to confuse their prey and signal their intentions to other sailfish. You'll have a chance to see the large variety of colors and patterns on their bodies while they hunt for food!

  • Day 5 – cenotes

Dive in the cenotes, a unique phenomenon of the Yucatan Peninsula. This is freshwater diving and much different than the ocean. The certified guide will tell you about the underground rivers and cenotes.

  • Day 6 – sailfish

You have the option of a third sailfish trip. An additional day will increase the chances everyone seeing them up close. Or you can choose to visit Mayan ruins or do other land-based tours.

  • Day 7 – on the last day you will be taken to the airport for your flight home.
