Arrive in Mexico City where you will be welcomed by your professional naturalist guide. Check-in to your hotel. Start with a briefing about the activities, security and other important information.
Visit the Anthropology Museum. This is one of the world's finest archaeological museums housing a wide collection of artifacts in 23 exhibition halls. See the famous Aztec sun
stone, a cosmological calendar. Then drive to Valle de Bravo, the capital of the State of Mexico. This town is surrounded by mountains and considered to be the most important tourist destination. It's known for the excellent hotels, restaurants, equestrian club, golf courses and manmade lake. Hear an evening lecture on Monarch biology and field projects.
Visit the new "Piedra Herrada Sanctuary" to see the monarchs. Horseback ride and hike to where the butterflies are located. This sanctuary is wilder than the others and so let's you enjoy
a more natural experience. Overnight in Valle de Bravo.
Visit Capulin Sanctuary, the largest and most beautiful prairie of the Monarch region called Los Tres Gobernadores (The Three Governors). Nature lovers will enjoy the varied vegetation in this
hibernation colonies location. Overnight in Capulin Sanctuary.
Travel to and overnight in Ciudad Valles, the second-largest city in the Mexican state of San Luis Potosí, located in the eastern part of the state and the municipal seat.
Visit the beautiful Tamul and Tamasopo waterfalls. The Tamasopo waterfall has a 105-meter (344-foot) drop, making it the highest waterfall in the state of San Luis Potosi . It's famous for its height and crystalline turquoise waters. Then back to the hotel.
Off to the amazing Sotano de las Golondrinas, a shaft with a free fall of over 300 meters. Home to hundreds of white-collar swifts and green parakeets. Guides, equipment and tours are available there for base jumping or rappelling in its deep walls.
Visit the Xilitla surealistic house, in the state of San Luis Potosi. This little village in the Sierra Madre mountains, is set in a peaceful, semi-tropical mountain valley, and known for its varied wildlife and magnificent sights. Back to Stanza Hotel and return to Mexico's city airport.
